Summer vacation is over and the kids are heading back to school. It’s getting darker earlier and morning temperatures are cooler. High School Football is in the news and sweaters and sweatshirts are part of our wardrobe again. Where did summer go?

Not to fear, there are plenty of fun times ahead as the 167th Annual Wayne County Fair opens their gates on September 10th, 2016 for six days of fresh off the farm fun and entertainment.

Fair admission is still just $3.00 per person, with children 6 & under free. Senior Citizen Day for those 65 and over is Thursday with free admission until 4:00pm. Unlimited ride passes are available daily as well as single ride tickets.

For a complete listing of events and ticket prices visit their website at www.waynecountyfairohio.com

Evening entertainment at the grandstand is as follows:

Saturday, September 10th State Sanctioned Modified & Superstock Tractor Pull
Sunday, September 11th Bill Engvall from the Blue Collar Comedy Group
Monday, September 12th Craig Morgan
Tuesday, September 13th Travis Tritt
Wednesday, September 14th Diesel Truck/Semi Pull
Thursday, September 15th Demolition Derby

In addition to the outstanding lineup at the grandstand be sure to check out the various animal shows and judging, flowers & vegetable judging, baking contests, fiddling contests, area school band show, harness races, mounted shooters, square dance, and car and tractor shows, just to name a few. Add in over 100 business and service organization booths and just about every form of county fair cuisine imaginable and you will see why the Wayne County Fair is billed as Ohio’s Foremost Agricultural Fair.
With an annual attendance of over 150,000 last year they must be doing something right!
